Cumberland Mycological Society was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2004 in East Tennessee. In the past, the mushroom club sponsored several mushroom forays each year, most of them on the Cumberland Plateau of East Tennessee. Inventory lists were created from each foray and are available on this web site. The lists have been submitted to the Tennessee Resource Management Division annually as part of the Natural Heritage Inventory Program.

Since 2020, Cumberland Mycological Society has indefinitely suspended all in-person events and has transitioned to virtual ID sessons during mushrooms season. Visit the "Events" tab for more details.
