Cumberland Mycological Society was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2004 in East Tennessee. The mushroom club sponsors mushroom forays, walk, and/or virtual meetings each year. Most of the in-person events take place in East Tennessee, on or near the Cumberland Plateau. Inventory lists have been created from each in-person event and are available on this web site. The lists have been submitted to the Tennessee Resource Management Division annually as part of the Natural Heritage Inventory Program.
