Cumberland Mycological Society was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2004 in East Tennessee. The mushroom club sponsors several mushroom forays each year, most of them on the Cumberland Plateau of East Tennessee. Inventory lists are created from each foray and are available on this web site. The lists are submitted to the Tennessee Resource Management Division annually as part of the Natural Heritage Inventory Program.

Membership is very easy and affordable. Dues are currently just $5 per person per year. The funds help pay for this web site, provide a travel stipend for mycologists and to purchase supplies at club-sponsored forays. Click "Join the Club" in the menu to the left to become a member.

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cumberland Mycological Society is currently not holding any in-person events. Instead, we are holding monthly virtual ID sessions during the summer and fall months.
